About the Author Who is Charity Wilson? Charity Wilson is the loving mother of four children, well five if you count her husband of over 25 years. She has worked in various jobs over the years but realized one day home is where she needed to be. After a lot of deliberation and research, she decided to become a full-time writer. Being a full time at home mom and writer sounds like a lot of work and for good reason, it is. She loves every minute of the organized chaos that is her daily life. It is what fuels her ideas and inspires her to write the books she does. She loves to share what she knows and is always willing to learn something new. She loves to cook and create new recipes which you will find shared throughout her various cookbooks. She stays up to date on the most current diets but doesn’t particularly follow any one of them. She eats to enjoy while consciously watching her health. She knows people need a variety of recipes to avoid the boredom that leads to weight gain and tries to fill that void. Her passions don’t stop at cooking and she is an avid gardener, organizer and loves reading. She is known amongst the kids in the sports community as “the lady with the best chocolate chip cookies ever.” She enjoys being able to watch her children play sports and is quite active herself. In the end, you could call her a homebody. Charity is all about living life with passion and enjoying every moment. This book starts out with a brief but beneficial explanation of a Paleo Diet, and includes information to check out if you want an in-depth understanding of a Paleo Diet. The Paleo Diet has been around for some time and is very popular right now so I found the authors explanation of the diet to be just right.The subtitle of the book "50 Fantastic Family Friendly and Fun........" is a great description of the recipes. They are delicious looking and for the whole family. In checking out the recipes it became clear to me that most family members would not feel that they are on a diet or being deprived of something at mealtime. The food just plain tastes better. I have tried many Paleo recipes and it feels good to know that you are eating healthy with positive long term affects.The recipes in this book are well though out and are more enticing then other Paleo Diet recipes books I have, In this book I have tried the Pumpkin Latte and found it to be delicious. I plan on trying Chicken Piccata and Simple Chocolate Pudding this weekend with my family. I am confident they will be delicious. If you haven't tried the Paleo Diet or you are on it and looking for some new recipes I highly recommend this book.

The way a cookbook is organized becomes very important. The Paleo Cookbook nails it perfectly. First of all the recipes are fantastic and run the range from breakfast to lunch & dinner then desserts. The 50 recipes alone make this book worth well more than the price. But the way the book is laid out make it so user friendly and that is why i am writing this review. (I have read other cookbooks that have chapter headings like a traditional book and you can only go to that page, then must scroll to find certain dishes.) You will not find that issue here. In this cookbook, each recipe has its own entry in the table of contents which makes it easy to jump directly to what you want. Also each category (such as Lunch or Desserts) has a table of contents line also, so you can jump to the first recipe in the group, then browse through them. The recipes themselves are clear and have listed ingredients in logical orders and descriptions that make preparation smooth. Very well done book for Paleo lovers. Recommended!

A nicely organized collection of recipes that I can just pull up and follow the recipes from my phone. When I am at the grocery store, I can easily open the book and see what ingredients I would need for the recipes I am planning to cook that evening. Great resource and would recommend to anyone that is looking for ease of access to a list of yummy recipes.
