Cheap but nutritious By Denniger Bolton For folks such as myself who are at least some of the time, on a shoestring budget, this book is good in that it combines eating cheaply with eating with proper nutrition in mind. The author reminds the reader several times throughout the book that we should be using leftovers which added with other foods in your refrigerator you can create new dishes thus saving money. Excess veggies combined with eggs and mushrooms can create a tasty omelet, for instance. Create a bunch at once that you can use several times is another idea. Whole wheat bread with almond butter is quick and cheap, as is celery sticks with low fat cream cheese and rice cakes are always good, cheap and make a quick meal. There are recipes included in the text although not separately at the end as a cookbook would. I’m attracted to Asparagus Frittata as something to try and the Quiche recipe looks good. I like how the author included the websites where the recipes can be found if you’d like more info and that he or she always aims for the recipe to be not only inexpensive but good for you.

But I don't have the time for that, so this book is a real time saver, and lots of the recipes it has are just like my mom used to make. When she says they are frugal, she's not kidding. They're super simple to prepare, taste great, and the ingredients are low-cost and easy to find at any of my local grocery stores. Overall, it was a good collection of cheaper recipes to make!

Spend little on delicious and healthy meals By Dylan I spent a reasonable amount of time with this book this holiday and I must say it helped me cut down a lot of expenses. There are so many delicious recipes that could be easily prepared with so little amount of money. I have heard people say that the most delicious meals are those which are costly to prepare, but this book has proven that statement wrong.This book has been very helpful to me and I highly recommend it so that others can gain the knowledge I gained from this book too.
