I also thought that one Indian chief was not afraid to approach a white man's doctor with his injured arm and ask for help in getting it well. They became friends and the chief and his band helped the white settlers in more than one skirmish with other tribes and also keep them from going hungry. Teaching them how to hunt buffalo when their cattle was stolen. How one man's survival and his faithful horse makes a dangerous run thru the desert and lives to tell about it.
