This is an 88 page story and we have just been told all of the story line from beginning, middle to end. I don't feel the need to purchase this story since it will no longer be enjoyable to me. This is not good for the author (Zoe Burton) since I won't be purchasing the story and it just came out! She is actually a good writer and I have enjoyed reading her stories. Please, people who wish to re-tell the story, stop and think about whether you would like to have someone tell your story which not only spoils it for future readers, it also cuts into profits for the author. How sad.

It tells the tale of ODC and how things might change with how they come together if Mr Wickham showed his true character much earlier!!!I love how both Elizabeth and Mr Darcy are not so proud and prejudiced in this variation,. Yes, the story starts after the Netherfield Ball and the occupants of Netherfield Hall have returned to London, but neither is too proud to re-examine things when faced with certain events.I adore Mr Bennet in this variation!!! He is more intuitive and less sardonic. He sees Elizabeth's change in emotions and has a true heart-to-heart with her, without teasing. I also love his fury when Elizabeth's honor is threatened by a bitter woman!!!And talking about fury!!!! Mr Darcy is a man to behold!!!! To think that sniveling weasel of a parson is so ignorant to continuing to challenge Mr Darcy's word!!!! Or Lady Catherine's disgraceful behavior!! They say "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" well I would say "hell hath no fury like Mr Darcy" in this case!!!!Oh and don't get me started on Mr Bingley's fury over his sisters' duplicity!!! LOL - and yes there were times I did snicker, out loud!!!There really is low angst, just pure entertainment!!! The only problem I had with this book was that it was too short!!! The end seemed kinda rushed. I would highly recommend this book to all JAFFers!!!!

As the Bennet girls were walking into town to visit their Aunt Phillips, two young ladies were fighting in the middle of the road. When it became clear just what had happened, and Elizabeth regretted her final words while dancing with Darcy. If she could only make her apologies for believing Wickham. One happy occurrence was wicked Wickham was finally punished by the military. The second happy occurrence took place at the theatre. As Jane was turned towards her sister, she accidentally bumped into a man's back. Needless to say it was Bingley! Darcy was so engrossed staring at Elizabeth that he didn't hear Bingley's question about the four joining in Darcy's box. Before Elizabeth left for Kent he asked her for a courtship. When she answered, she pulled lilacs from her hair to hand him. He knew he'd have t look up the "language flowers" to determine what lilacs. Finding out, he was elated. He talked with her Uncle Gardiner and before he left for Kent, he needed to talk with her father. Mr. Bennet was not surprised, because early on he felt they had a connection and were the last to see it. Not wanting his Aunt Catherine to know of their courtship, and before long their betrothal, they kept the happiness to themselves. The last day before leaving Kent for London, not only did Darcy's announcement not go well, but Elizabeth's announcement at the parsonage had the same response from Collins. Darcy hears what was said, and when Collins refused to back down, Darcy gave him the choice of stopping his ill speaking of Elizabeth or meeting him on the field of honour. Being useless, Collins realizes he cannot shoot nor did he learn how to handle a sword. He backed down rather quickly. Lady Catherine tries one more time to break the betrothal by offering 15.000£ to Mr. Bennet. Refused her offer and had Hill throw her out of the house. Tried to get help in London, but that failed also. So finally the happy ending occurs when Mrs. Bennet finally gets rid of her two oldest daughters.
