2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Life in the Grey Nunnery at Montreal By caladon This book was written by a victim of this nunnery in Montreal. Sarah set out to inform people of the EXTREME cruelty the nuns were forced to endure by the priests of the time and ultimately the nuns who were directly under the priests' control. Sarah starts by informing her readers that some may find the book anti-Catholic but I did not interpret it as such. I felt it pertained to cruel, hard-hearted people who happened to be Catholic and chose to wear the robe of the church to help enable them to make a career of hurting and harming people whose total control had been taken out of the individual's hands. This is history, we cannot change history but hopefully lessons have been learned by courageous people like Sarah who are brave enough to share such experiences.
