This is not an ordinary slow cooker cookbook, it contains information that a beginner should know. It does not require extraordinary cooking skills to cook using a Crock Pot. All you need is to learn the basics, that’s how simple and fun it really is.

It does not look professional but rather as if somebody (well John web that is) let it print himself. Who cooks still with canola oil? Well, you should not if you care at all about your health. Also: no use of vegetables? The recipes are not well written. The "Jamaican chicken" tasted like nothing. 8 hours cooking? The potatoes were a mess. The glazed turkey burned after 1 hour and I could throw it in the trash. I should've known myself: you can't cook apricot jam for 6 hours! Did John Web ever try to cook these recipes himself or did John find these recipes just on the Web? This book is a waste. It's just around 40 recipes- half of them are weird breakfast recipes (who has the time to cook for breakfast and when should I wake up to do this?). Recipes include errors like listing ingredients and never mentioning what to do with them in the recipe itself. Worst cook book I ever saw.

I decided to download this based on some of the other reviews and am very happy that I did. The recipes are all described in great details with everything you need to get started. I've had a crock pot since I first got married and literally just had it collecting dust because I was never sure exactly what to make with it but after this book I am in love with the machine! Each of the recipes requires some work in the beginning but for the most part once you put it in the slow cooker you do nothing until it is done. Grateful to have found this.
