About the Author David Corcoran, who retired from The New York Times in 2014, was the longtime editor of the weekly Science Times section. Prior to that he was the paper’s education editor and deputy Op-Ed editor, and for a number of years reviewed restaurants in New Jersey. He joined The Times after a 19-year career at The Record in northern New Jersey, where he was the editorial-page editor. David Corcoran lives in Nyack, NY.

O'Brien This is a fascinating look at numerous science-related subjects over the past decades, all from the pages of the NY Times. Interesting to read how various subjects were understood in years past, and to then examine two same-subject articles separated by long stretches of time. From opening Tut's tomb to outer space, this book is a valuable (and very readable) pleasure.
