Arthur George I am delighted with the book, although I have not read the entire text yet, but scanning this significant works is a bit daunting. I ordered two copies, one for my to read shelf, the other for my recently deceased brother's grandson, an elementary school student who loves history. I have taken up the mission to feed his inquisitive mind, staying ahead of his absorption. I am in hope that Churchill will catch fire for him as a noble topic for the rest of his life.
6 of 9 people found the following review helpful. a good reedition By Gilbert Michaud a great reedition of this book of essays published in 1932.. a new introduction by james w muller and footnotes by mr paul courtenay to help the reader of the 21 th century. .
